Community management and security platform Mygate has secured Rs 225 crore (around $26 million) from Dharana Capital, marking its first major funding round in over three years. As part of the transaction, Dharana Capital acquired a 12–14% stake in the company through a combination of primary capital infusion and secondary share purchases. The investment reflects continued confidence in India’s growing residential community technology market.

Capital to expand footprint and strengthen technology platform

The fresh funds will be used to expand Mygate’s presence across gated communities, strengthen its integrated platform, and accelerate product and technology development. The company has set an ambitious target of reaching 10 million homes over the coming years, significantly expanding beyond its current scale.

Building operating infrastructure for residential communities

Founded by Abhishek Kumar, Shreyans Daga, Vijay Arisetty, and Rohit Jindal, Mygate provides a comprehensive technology platform that helps residents, RWAs, and housing societies manage visitor access, finances, amenities, communications, and daily operations. Beyond community management, the company also operates a brand engagement and advertising platform, enabling consumer brands to connect with residents within gated communities.

Strong FY25 growth highlights improving business fundamentals

Mygate currently serves 27,000+ residential communities and 5.7 million households across India. The company reported strong financial performance in FY25, with operating revenue growing 80% to Rs 173.5 crore from Rs 96.2 crore in FY24. It also reduced its net loss by 61% to Rs 15.4 crore, compared to Rs 39.7 crore a year earlier. According to the company, it would have been profitable if not for Rs 22.5 crore in ESOP and stock-based compensation expenses. Previously, Mygate raised $56 million in Series B funding in 2019 and secured a $12 million strategic investment from Urban Company and Acko in 2022.
