Bollywood actor Neetu Chandra-backed agri-tech startup Agrifeeder has received certification from the United States Food and Drug Administration, clearing the path for exporting agricultural produce sourced directly from farmers in Bihar. The certification marks Agrifeeder’s formal entry into global markets and a significant step in its export-led growth strategy.

Global Brand Launch in Delhi

The announcement was made at an event in New Delhi, where the company unveiled its international-facing brand identity, Agrifeeder by Neetu Chandra. All export products will now be sold under this brand, with a focus on quality assurance, traceability, and farmer-first sourcing.

Building Export-Ready Value Chains

Founded in 2017 by Priya Pandey, Raman Kumar, Raunak Kumar, and Neetu Chandra, Agrifeeder operates an agri-commerce platform that works directly with farmers across Bihar. The startup focuses on improving farm incomes through direct market access, branding, packaging, and integrated supply-chain solutions, while enabling value addition through standardisation and traceability.

Addressing Structural Farmer Challenges

According to the company, its model is designed to tackle long-standing issues faced by small and marginal farmers, including price volatility, dependence on intermediaries, and limited access to organised markets. With a Bihar-first approach and a growing global outlook, Agrifeeder aims to position regional produce as export-grade offerings.

Portfolio and Farmer Impact

Agrifeeder’s product portfolio includes lemongrass herbal tea, chanasattu variants, raw honey, Jardalu mango, Katarni rice and poha, jaggery maize, and other indigenous products native to Bihar. The startup claims to work with over 50,000 farmers, helping them shift from commodity sales to value-led, export-oriented markets with the goal of significantly enhancing farm incomes.
