For Ajeta, Clutch Craft was born out of a realization that there was a gap between India’s rich handicraft traditions and the contemporary fashion space. “I always felt there was a disconnect a visible gap between the rich world of Indian handicrafts and the accessories that filled the modern fashion space,” she explains. “Clutch Craft was born to bridge that very gap.”

From Idea to Impact: A Purpose-Driven Beginning
Ajeta’s journey began with a deep desire to do more than just create beautiful products she wanted to make them meaningful. As she traveled across artisan communities, she witnessed firsthand the struggles of craftspeople trying to sustain their age-old practices in a fast-paced world. This experience inspired her to build Clutch Craft as a bridge between artisans and consumers celebrating handmade artistry, reviving forgotten crafts, and ensuring sustainable livelihoods.

Craft Meets Couture
Each Clutch Craft creation is a piece of living art. The brand specializes in handcrafted clutches, handbags, and fashion accessories, blending traditional techniques like zardozi, banjara embroidery, kantha, and mirror work with clean, contemporary designs. Every bag tells a story crafted by artisans from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Odisha each earning fair wages and respect for their cultural craft.

The journey wasn’t easy. Finding authentic artisans and building trust took time, persistence, and empathy. Today, Clutch Craft works with over 300 artisans across India, co-creating designs that preserve the soul of tradition while appealing to modern aesthetics. Through workshops and grassroots collaboration, the brand has become a symbol of purposeful fashion.
