HrdWyr has raised $13 million in a Series A funding round led by Ideaspring Capital, with participation from Singularity AMC, Avatar Growth Capital, and existing investor Persistent Systems.
The startup said the fresh capital will be used to accelerate the development of its AI-native System-on-Chip (AISoC) products and expand customer engagements across international markets.
Founded by Ramamurthy Sivakumar, HrdWyr is a fabless semiconductor startup building AI-native chips designed for edge computing and physical AI applications.
The company develops purpose built semiconductor solutions for sectors including consumer electronics, electric vehicles, industrial automation systems, and data centres.
HrdWyr’s chips are designed to deliver low latency AI processing and improved power efficiency, enabling real-time decision making and autonomous computing directly on devices without relying heavily on cloud infrastructure.
The startup focuses on integrating artificial intelligence capabilities directly into chip architecture, a growing trend in the semiconductor industry as enterprises increasingly shift AI workloads toward edge devices.
Edge AI and physical AI applications are gaining traction globally across industries such as mobility, robotics, industrial automation, and smart consumer devices, driving demand for specialised AI processors capable of operating efficiently in constrained environments.
HrdWyr recently partnered with boAt as part of its customer expansion strategy.
The funding comes amid rising investor interest in India’s semiconductor and deeptech ecosystem, where startups are increasingly focusing on chip design, AI hardware, and indigenous semiconductor innovation as global supply chains diversify.
India has also been witnessing growing policy support for semiconductor manufacturing and design through government-led incentive programmes aimed at strengthening domestic chip capabilities.
