Move strengthens leadership bench as Snabbit eyes larger funding round

Quick home services platform Snabbit has announced that it is joining forces with the founding team of Pync, as it looks to accelerate expansion in India’s fast-growing on-demand home services market.

As part of the acquihire, Pync founders Harsh Prateek, Mayank S, and Dev Priyam will join Snabbit in senior roles across operations and business functions. The deal brings the core team behind Pync into Snabbit, while the Pync brand itself will be wound down.

About Pync and its pivot journey

Founded in 2023, Pync began as a car-cleaning subscription startup before pivoting into quick home services. The Bengaluru-based company raised around $2 million in seed funding from investors including Accel, Bharat Founders Fund, and Betterindustries.

Before shutting down the brand, Pync operated only in Bengaluru and served over 25,000 households, working with a network of more than 1,000 service professionals.

Commenting on the move, Harsh Prateek said the two teams shared a common philosophy around execution, reliability, and consumer experience, and that combining Pync’s lean operating approach with Snabbit’s scale could significantly speed up growth.

Funding plans and competitive landscape

The acquihire comes as Snabbit is also in discussions to raise a larger funding round of around $100 million, a development earlier reported by Entrackr. The company has already raised over $25 million from investors including Elevation Capital and Nexus Venture Partners.

With the strengthened leadership team and fresh capital plans, Snabbit is positioning itself to compete more aggressively with industry leader Urban Company, which was recently listed on Indian stock exchanges, as well as newer entrants like Pronto, a ten-minute house-help services startup backed by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital.
