Wealthtech startup PowerUp Money has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by Peak XV, with participation from existing investors Accel, Blume Ventures, and Kae Capital. The round also saw continued backing from 8i Ventures and DevC. The funding comes just six months after the company raised $7.2 million in a seed round.
Use of Capital
The company said the fresh capital will be used to strengthen its research and advisory capabilities, scale its existing PowerUp Elite offering, launch a new product called PowerUp Infinite, and invest in financial literacy and investor education initiatives.
Founder and Platform Vision
Founded in 2024 by Prateek Jindal, PowerUp Money is positioned as a research-led, zero-commission mutual fund advisory platform. The company aims to make high-quality, unbiased investment advice accessible to retail investors at significantly lower costs than traditional advisory models. As a SEBI-registered Registered Investment Advisor, the platform operates on a fee-based structure designed to align recommendations with investors’ long-term wealth creation goals.
Product Offerings
The Bengaluru-based startup allows users to review their mutual fund portfolios free of cost through its app, helping them assess portfolio health and performance. Its flagship paid product, PowerUp Elite, offers personalised mutual fund advisory for an annual fee of ₹999. The subscription includes fund selection, portfolio reviews, rebalancing, asset allocation, and ongoing guidance supported by institutional-grade research.
Upcoming Launches
PowerUp plans to introduce PowerUp Infinite, a fully managed advisory product that will provide dedicated one-on-one advisory, goal planning, and personalised investment strategies. Together, the two offerings are expected to form a comprehensive advisory stack spanning app-led guidance to fully managed wealth solutions.
Growth Metrics
Within eight months of launch, PowerUp Money has onboarded over five lakh users and is tracking more than ₹65,000 crore in assets. PowerUp Elite has crossed 25,000 paid subscribers. Over the next three years, the company aims to scale its user base to 10 million.
