AIESEC in Delhi IIT, in association with the Office of Academic Outreach and New Initiatives, IIT Delhi, successfully hosted Stand By Her 2025, its flagship leadership and gender equity initiative, at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. The event brought together young leaders, professionals, and changemakers to celebrate women’s leadership and drive conversations on inclusion, empowerment, and resilience.
Aligned with Global Development Goals
Stand By Her 2025 was supported by Havells as the Official Partner and the Kabaddi Champions League as the Official Sports Partner. The initiative aligned closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on Gender Equality (SDG 5), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), reinforcing the role of youth-led platforms in advancing global impact agendas.
Inspiring Voices Take the Stage
The event opened with an engaging session by Nandini Sharma, Miss Grand India 2025 finalist, widely known as thisis_alaska_. Sharma spoke about reinvention and self-expression, urging young women to embrace multifaceted identities without fear of judgment. Her address resonated strongly with students navigating ambition, creativity, and societal expectations.
This was followed by a compelling keynote from Dr. Sanjeen Sawhney, Forbes Asia Power Businesswoman and Managing Director of ANB Auto India. Dr. Sawhney highlighted the importance of financial independence as the foundation of empowerment, emphasizing ethical leadership, long-term vision, and economic agency as critical enablers of women’s progress.
Panel on Leadership, Wellness, and Resilience
The event concluded with a high-energy panel discussion featuring Vanshikaa Oberoi, Founder of The Fingerprint Labs; Tanvee Tutlani, Founder of Diet Smart; and Radhika Modi, a member of the UN Women 30 for 2030 Network. The panel explored leadership journeys, personal branding, wellness, and the role of intersectionality in shaping gender dynamics. Modi added a global research-led perspective, enriching the discussion with insights on inclusive leadership.
Driven by Youth Leadership
The event’s seamless execution was led by the AIESEC organizing committee under Rudraksh Raj, Head of Business Development, supported by managers Ujjwal Rohilla and Dhriti Gupta, whose coordination ensured a meaningful and engaging experience.
“Stand By Her is not just an event—it is a movement,” an AIESEC representative noted. “With institutional support and youth leadership, we are building spaces where innovation meets inclusivity and action follows conversation.”
