Rainmatter, Unicorn India Ventures Lead Funding Round

Climate intelligence startup Aurassure has raised ₹25 crore (approximately $3 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Rainmatter, the investment arm of Zerodha, and Unicorn India Ventures. Maithan Alloys Limited also participated in the round.

Building Real-Time Climate Intelligence Infrastructure

Founded in 2022 by Akanksha Priyadarshini, Aurassure operates a real-time, hyperlocal climate intelligence platform designed for enterprises and public-sector users. The platform integrates street-level sensors, satellite data, and AI-driven models to monitor environmental parameters such as air quality, heat stress, rainfall, flooding, and wind patterns.

The startup focuses on delivering actionable climate risk insights to support decision-making across infrastructure planning, operations, and risk management.

Funding to Drive Global Expansion and Product Development

Aurassure said the fresh capital will be deployed toward international expansion, product innovation, and scaling hardware manufacturing. The company is targeting Latin America, South Asia, and Africa, regions that face high climate volatility and limited access to reliable environmental data.

Strong Traction Across India and Global Markets

Over the past year, Aurassure has established a wholly owned subsidiary in Brazil and rolled out deployments across 100+ cities in the country. It has also launched pilot projects in Bangladesh.

In India, the startup claims presence in over 200 cities, supported by a network of 2,000+ environmental sensors.

Rapid Revenue Growth and Enterprise Adoption

According to the company, Aurassure has recorded 150% year-on-year revenue growth since its last funding round in 2023. Its enterprise customers span sectors including construction, insurance, healthcare, industrial operations, and infrastructure.

Roadmap Ahead

Aurassure plans to expand its sensor network, onboard new enterprise clients, and scale its analytics platform. The startup is targeting deployments across 1,000 cities globally within the next three years, positioning itself as a key climate intelligence infrastructure provider for emerging markets.
