Meta India has appointed Aman Jain as its new Head of Public Policy, strengthening its leadership team as the company deepens its focus on India’s rapidly expanding digital ecosystem. Jain will assume his role early next year and will report directly to Simon Milner, Vice President of Policy for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. He will also be part of Meta India’s leadership team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company’s policy direction in the country.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in public policy and business strategy, Aman Jain’s appointment comes at a crucial time for Meta, as India emerges as one of the company’s most important global markets. Jain has previously held influential positions at major technology firms and government institutions. His tenure at Google India, where he served as Country Head for Government Affairs & Public Policy, established him as a seasoned policy leader. Most recently, he served as Director of Public Policy at Amazon, overseeing key areas such as marketplace regulations, operations, competition, and technology policy.
In a statement, Simon Milner highlighted India’s strategic importance for Meta, noting the nation’s growth across AI, emerging technologies, and the creator economy. “Meta aims to help build a more inclusive, trusted, and future-ready internet ecosystem for India,” he said. Welcoming Jain, Milner added that his strong expertise in policymaking and technology will strengthen Meta’s collaboration with regulators and industry partners.
Aman Jain’s appointment is expected to enhance Meta’s policy engagement as the company navigates evolving digital regulations, data governance frameworks, and innovation opportunities in India. His deep experience across government and global tech companies positions him to play a key role in shaping Meta’s long-term policy vision in one of its largest and fastest-growing markets.
