Emergent Secures Strategic Investment From Google AI Futures Fund

AI-driven software creation platform Emergent has raised a strategic investment from the Google AI Futures Fund, the venture initiative launched in May 2025 to support early-stage companies building next-generation artificial intelligence products. The terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Fresh Capital Follows $23 Million Series A

The development comes shortly after Emergent’s $23 million Series A round, led by Lightspeed, with participation from Together Fund and other global backers. The new investment reinforces strong institutional interest in autonomous AI agents capable of eliminating traditional software development cycles.

Capital to Boost Product Scale and Hiring

Emergent plans to use the fresh capital to accelerate hiring, deepen product innovation, and expand internationally. The startup will also integrate Google’s AI infrastructure, foundation models, and cloud capabilities to improve agent performance, reliability and platform scalability as demand continues to surge across global markets.

AI Agents for Code-Free Software Creation

Founded in 2025 by Mukund Jha (former co-founder of Dunzo) and Madhav Jha, Emergent enables users to convert written ideas into production-grade applications without coding or engineering expertise. Its autonomous AI agents can build, iterate, test and deploy software, making it a powerful alternative for startups, freelancers, creators, and solo founders who lack technical co-founders or full-stack engineering teams.

Rapid User Growth and Strong Revenue Momentum

Emergent has witnessed explosive adoption since launch, crossing 2.5 million users globally within five months and surpassing a $25 million annual recurring revenue (ARR) run rate. The company is expanding rapidly across use cases such as ecommerce tools, productivity apps, micro-SaaS products, and startup MVP development.

Emergent positions its platform as a new paradigm for software creation, where AI replaces traditional development workflows and enables entrepreneurs to build applications instantly without waiting for engineering talent.
