AI research startup Redrob has raised $10 million in a Series A round led by Korea Investment Partners, joined by KB Investment, Kiwoom Investment, Korea Development Bank Capital, Daekyo Investment and DS & Partners. With this round, Redrob’s total funding reaches $14 million, following its $4 million seed round in 2023.

Capital to Build 50x Cheaper ML Architecture and India-Specific LLMs

Redrob will use the funds to develop its machine-learning architecture aimed at achieving 50x cost reduction in training and inference. A major focus will be building India-specific language models that support all 22 constitutionally recognized Indian languages, enabling more accessible AI deployment across education, business and public-sector use cases.

AI Suite Designed for Learning, Careers and Productivity

Founded in 2018 by Felix Kim, Redrob offers an AI-driven outbound intelligence platform that merges natural-language search with data from over 19 global sources. Its flagship PeopleSearch tool provides access to 700 million professional profiles, helping users identify high-intent accounts, filter prospects and improve outreach accuracy.

Redrob is also scaling an AI Suite for learners, professionals and enterprises, spanning areas like upskilling, job readiness and workflow productivity.

Free LLM Access for Indian Students by 2026

The company plans to offer free, unlimited access to Redrob LLMs to students across all Indian universities starting Q1 2026. It is in discussions with the Ministry of Education to expand nationwide access and is building an enterprise suite tailored to SMBs and startups. Full multi-language support is expected by end-2026.

“We want every Indian student to have free access to premium AI tools,” said Kartikey Handa, COO, Redrob India. “High-end AI models remain inaccessible due to cost. Our breakthroughs enable high-quality performance at a fraction of the price.”

Final Take

With cost-optimized LLMs and free student access, Redrob aims to democratize AI adoption for India’s 300 million learners, while expanding enterprise relevance across HR, sales and knowledge workflows.
