Flo Mobility has raised $2.5 million in a pre-Series A funding round co-led by Mela Ventures and Arali Ventures.

The Bengaluru based startup said the fresh capital will be used to scale manufacturing operations, strengthen its AI and autonomy capabilities, expand deployments across India, and enter international markets, particularly the Middle East.

Founded in 2021 by Manesh Jain and Pratik Patel, Flo Mobility develops Physical AI and robotics solutions focused on the construction industry.

The company builds autonomous robots designed to automate material movement and construction workflows across large infrastructure and real estate project sites.

Its flagship product, Flo Hauler, is a battery-powered autonomous mobile robot capable of carrying loads of up to 1.5 tonnes across construction sites, including multi-floor environments. The robot is designed to function in unstructured and constantly changing site conditions, including harsh weather and uneven terrain.

According to the startup, the solution addresses major operational challenges in construction, including labour shortages, safety risks, and inefficient material transportation.

Flo Mobility claims to have already deployed more than 60 robots across 10 Indian states. Its client roster includes major developers and infrastructure companies such as Larsen & Toubro, Godrej Properties, Embassy Group, Sobha, and Capacite Infraprojects.

The company stated that customers using its robotics solutions have reported nearly 45% cost savings, 50% faster material movement, and a 67% reduction in accidents on project sites.

The funding comes amid rising interest in industrial automation and AI-driven robotics as sectors such as construction increasingly adopt technology to improve efficiency, worker safety, and project execution timelines.
