Multi-Year Alliance to Build Scalable Appliance Manufacturing in India

Nuuk, a fast-growing D2C home appliance brand, has entered into a multi-year strategic manufacturing partnership with Zetwerk to strengthen its Make in India ambitions and build a scalable, high-quality, and cost-competitive manufacturing base in India. Announced on March 10, 2026, the partnership reflects Nuuk’s long-term strategy to create a future-ready manufacturing ecosystem aligned with global standards, localisation, and capacity building.

As part of this development, Sanjiv Rangrass, Non-Executive Independent Director at Zetwerk, has been appointed as Nuuk’s Make-in-India Advisor. His appointment is expected to add deep operational experience to the brand’s manufacturing roadmap as it scales across categories.

Founders Emphasise Quality, Speed and Innovation

Commenting on the partnership, Nuuk Co-Founders Gazal Kalra and Shalabh Gupta said the company is building a design and technology-led consumer appliance brand where form and performance work together to improve everyday living. They added that achieving this at scale requires Indian manufacturing capabilities that can match the brand’s ambitions around quality, speed, and innovation.

According to the founders, Make in India for Nuuk is not just a slogan but a serious commitment to building products in India at global standards. They said the addition of Sanjiv Rangrass as advisor further strengthens this vision and supports responsible growth with quality at the centre.

Localisation Roadmap Across Key Appliance Categories

Zetwerk is expected to serve as Nuuk’s manufacturing partner for select home appliance categories including fans and heaters, with a focus on progressive localisation and scalable production. The partnership is part of Nuuk’s broader strategy to work with multiple manufacturing partners across categories while deepening its industrial base in India.

Rahul Sharma, Managing Director, Precision Business (Electronics), Zetwerk, said Nuuk represents a new generation of Indian consumer brands investing early in manufacturing depth. He noted that both companies share a long-term approach to designing, building, and scaling high-quality products in India, with a focus on creating globally competitive systems and processes.

Building the Next Phase of Growth

The partnership will follow a structured roadmap including collaborative new product development, pilot manufacturing programmes, and robust testing and reliability facilities. Going forward, Nuuk aims to expand its Make-in-India footprint across key appliance categories, linking product innovation with industrial capability and manufacturing excellence.

Launched in March 2024, Nuuk has quickly gained recognition for its design-led appliances across food preparation, garment care, vacuum cleaning, cooling, and heating.
