Expansion Reflects Growing Demand for Flexible Offices
Flexible workspace operator WeWork India Management Ltd has opened a new co-working centre in Gurugram with a seating capacity of over 1,200 desks. The facility, named ‘WeWork Atrium Place’, is located in Udyog Vihar and spans 90,000 square feet, according to a regulatory filing.
The new centre has been established in leased office space from real estate developer DLF Limited, which WeWork India will sub-lease to enterprises and businesses seeking flexible office solutions.
Strengthening Presence in Key Commercial Markets
Launched in 2017, WeWork India has steadily expanded its footprint across major commercial hubs including Chennai, New Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad. As of December 2025, the company operated 73 centres covering 8.2 million square feet.
The Gurugram expansion strengthens its presence in one of India’s largest corporate and startup ecosystems, where demand for flexible office solutions continues to grow among enterprises and emerging companies.
Flex Workspace Segment Sees Strong Leasing Momentum
The expansion aligns with broader industry growth trends. According to Colliers India, co-working operators leased approximately 13 million square feet of Grade A office space in 2025, slightly higher than the previous year. Flexible workspace providers accounted for nearly 18% of total office leasing across India’s seven major cities.
As companies adopt hybrid work models and prioritise cost efficiency, demand for managed office solutions is expected to remain strong.
WeWork India’s continued expansion reflects how flexible workspaces are becoming an integral part of India’s evolving commercial real estate ecosystem.
