Strengthening Technology Leadership Amid Quick Commerce Expansion
India’s fashion ecommerce sector is entering a new phase where speed, personalisation, and platform reliability are becoming key growth drivers. As platforms expand into quick commerce and AI-led discovery, technology leadership is emerging as a critical differentiator. Flipkart-owned fashion ecommerce platform Myntra has appointed Pramod Adiddam as its chief technology officer (CTO). He will lead the company’s overall technology strategy, focusing on platform innovation, long-term scalability, and strengthening engineering capabilities. Adiddam will report to Myntra chief executive officer Nandita Sinha.
Industry Experience and Strategic Role in Platform Scaling
The appointment comes nearly a year after Myntra’s former chief technology and product officer Raghu Krishnananda stepped down in April 2025. Adiddam brings over two decades of experience building large consumer-facing digital platforms. He previously held senior engineering leadership roles at Google and Instacart, where he led global teams working on marketplace expansion, platform architecture, and product innovation. Myntra expects his experience in scaling multi-billion-dollar commerce systems to strengthen its technology roadmap and support its evolving delivery and customer experience strategies.
Business Growth Context and Leadership Reinforcement Strategy
The CTO appointment marks Myntra’s second major senior leadership hire this year, following the appointment of Ritesh Mishra as senior vice-president and head of category and revenue. Myntra crossed ₹6,000 crore in revenue in FY25, with operating revenue rising 18% year-on-year to ₹6,042.7 crore. The company also reported a sharp surge in profit after tax during the same period, reflecting improving operational efficiency. Myntra’s leadership expansion highlights how fashion ecommerce is becoming increasingly technology-driven, where engineering depth and scalable infrastructure play a central role in sustaining long-term growth.
