Digital Striker raises $1 million to kickstart local manufacturing push

Digital Striker has raised $1 million (around Rs 8.5 crore) in a funding round from Foxhog Ventures, as the optical fiber tools startup looks to move from an import-led model to domestic manufacturing.

Founded in 2021 by Priyanka, Digital Striker operates in the optical fiber tools and equipment segment, supplying products such as fiber strippers, cleavers, visual fault locators, power meters, and splicing machines. Until now, the company has largely relied on imports, distributing its tools through a growing reseller network across the country.

How the capital will be used

According to the startup, Rs 5–6 crore from the round will be deployed to set up a manufacturing facility, hire talent, and establish offices in major metro cities. The remaining capital will be used to continue import operations while local production capabilities are being built.

Digital Striker plans to begin domestic manufacturing with five to seven products in the initial phase, and gradually expand its portfolio as capacity and demand scale. The move aligns with the broader push for localisation in telecom and digital infrastructure equipment.

Business traction and growth plans

Despite being bootstrapped until this round, Digital Striker claims to have built a network of over 450 resellers and end customers across India. Over the last 40 months, the company reported a turnover of Rs 8.85 crore, driven by rising demand for optical fiber deployment tools across telecom, broadband, and infrastructure projects.

Going ahead, Digital Striker aims to scale manufacturing over the next few years while expanding its distribution footprint nationwide. By localising production, the startup expects to improve margins, shorten supply cycles, and strengthen its position in India’s fast-growing fiber infrastructure ecosystem.
