Satellite RF intelligence startup Xovian Aerospace has raised $2 million (approximately Rs 16.6 crore) in a strategic funding round led by Ashish Kacholia. The Bengaluru-based company had previously raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed round in 2024. The fresh capital will be used for satellite development, expansion of engineering and AI teams, and strengthening commercial partnerships.
Building AI-powered RF satellite intelligence infrastructure
Co-founded in 2019 by Ankit Bhateja and Raghav Sharma, Xovian Aerospace is developing AI-powered radio frequency (RF) satellite infrastructure. Its platform captures and analyses RF signals from space to generate real-time, actionable intelligence across multiple sectors.
Unlocking insights beyond traditional satellite systems
Unlike optical satellite systems, Xovian’s RF-based approach can detect obscured or covert activity, enabling deeper visibility into dynamic environments. The platform combines GEOINT and SIGINT capabilities to deliver real-time situational awareness, asset monitoring, and predictive insights.
Applications across climate, defence, and infrastructure
The company’s technology supports use cases across climate monitoring, defence, aviation, maritime, and infrastructure, addressing growing demand for real-time intelligence amid rising geopolitical and environmental challenges.
Positioned in emerging RF intelligence ecosystem
By leveraging the underutilised RF spectrum, Xovian aims to overcome limitations of traditional satellite systems and build a scalable intelligence platform. It operates alongside emerging players such as OrbitAid, InspeCity, and Sisir Radar in India’s growing spacetech ecosystem.
