Connected factory platform Workroom Automation has raised Rs 6.2 crore in a seed funding round led by Equirus InnovateX Fund, with participation from Astir Ventures, Venture Catalysts Group, and angel investors. The Hyderabad-based startup will use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, strengthen its core platform, and scale go-to-market efforts.

Building an intelligence layer for connected factories

Founded by Abhinav Atthota and Rohan Agarwal, Workroom Automation develops a connected factory platform that integrates data across ERP, MES, machines, and shopfloor workflows. The platform acts as a unified intelligence layer, enabling real-time decision-making and automated execution across manufacturing operations.

AI-powered planning engine optimises production workflows

The company’s AI-powered planning engine converts demand into daily production plans and dynamically adjusts to constraints such as machine availability, material flow, and workforce changes. This enables manufacturers to improve capacity utilisation, reduce delays, and enhance operational efficiency.

Scaling deployments across key manufacturing sectors

Workroom Automation has begun deploying its platform across industries including automotive, electronics, industrial machinery, and consumer goods. It is focusing on scaling deployments across multiple factories within enterprises while expanding its presence among medium and large manufacturing companies.

Vision to build an autonomous factory operating system

The startup aims to build a unified operating system for manufacturing, combining planning, orchestration, and automation capabilities. Over time, it plans to move towards autonomous factory operations, positioning itself in the growing industrial automation and Industry 4.0 ecosystem.
