TrusTerra Launches to Standardise India’s Used EV Market

0

Former Mooving co-founder Tanvir Singh has announced the launch of his new venture, TrusTerra, along with co-founders Saurabh Arora, Madhu Reddy, and Chanakya Agarwal. The Delhi-based startup aims to bring trust, transparency, and standardisation to India’s fast-growing but fragmented pre-owned electric vehicle (EV) market.

Funding Snapshot

While TrusTerra has not disclosed funding, the company is in discussions with OEMs, banks, NBFCs, insurers, and dealer networks to validate its platform.

India is projected to cross 10 million EV sales annually by 2030, yet the resale penetration of EVs remains under 2%. Buyers hesitate due to concerns around battery health and fair pricing, while sellers struggle to unlock liquidity. TrusTerra addresses this gap with TruEV Score, an AI-driven valuation system that measures battery health, range consistency, and remaining useful life. Similar to a credit score, it ensures fair value discovery and increases confidence for buyers, dealers, and financial institutions.

Products & Services

  • TruEV Score – Proprietary AI-powered EV health and value assessment.
  • TerraCash – Instant diagnostics and liquidity, with bids and payment within 24 hours.
  • TerraBid – A certified dealer auction platform offering financing, extended warranties, and assured buyback.

Founders & Edge

Co-founder Tanvir Singh emphasises: “Used EVs are not a side market, they are the market. For India to electrify affordably, a trusted resale backbone is critical.” The founding team brings deep experience across EV mobility, finance, and technology, positioning TrusTerra as a market enabler.

Market Watch

Starting with Delhi NCR, TrusTerra plans expansion into Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad, targeting both B2C users (owners, buyers, gig workers) and B2B players (fleets, dealers, and financiers). The company aims to facilitate 1 million pre-owned EV transactions in the next 3–5 years and is targeting a Rs 500 crore market cap within two years.

Final Take

TrusTerra is betting on data, trust, and scale to unlock India’s second-hand EV ecosystem, a sector critical to affordable electrification.
