Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company Transrail Lighting has secured new domestic orders worth ₹2,350 crore, strengthening its order pipeline and reinforcing its position in India’s power transmission and infrastructure sector.
Order Details & Business Expansion
The newly secured contracts are largely focused on the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) segment, along with select wins across civil infrastructure and poles and lighting projects. The T&D contracts primarily include the construction of 765 kV transmission lines, a critical component in strengthening high-voltage power infrastructure across India.
With these latest order wins, Transrail Lighting’s cumulative order inflows for FY26 have crossed ₹7,980 crore, according to a regulatory filing. The company continues to maintain a strong project pipeline and competitive bidding presence across infrastructure segments.
Strategic Growth & Market Position
Commenting on the development, Managing Director and CEO Randeep Narang highlighted that the new orders demonstrate the company’s competitive positioning in India’s transmission infrastructure market. Transrail currently holds the lowest bidder position for projects worth more than ₹800 crore, indicating strong visibility for future contract conversions.
The Mumbai-based company operates as a diversified EPC player across transmission and distribution, civil infrastructure, railways, and poles and lighting solutions. Transrail Lighting also maintains an international footprint across 63 countries, allowing it to participate in global infrastructure and power transmission projects.
Sector Outlook & Industry Impact
India’s power infrastructure sector is witnessing increased investments driven by rising electricity demand, renewable energy integration, and grid modernisation initiatives. High-voltage transmission projects, particularly 765 kV lines, play a key role in enabling efficient long-distance power transfer and strengthening grid reliability.
With a robust order book and expanding global footprint, Transrail Lighting is positioned to benefit from growing infrastructure investments across power transmission and EPC segments.
