Thrustworks Dynetics Raises Rs 7 Crore to Advance Rocket Propulsion Technology

0

Thrustworks Dynetics, an Indian propulsion systems startup, has raised Rs 7 crore in a seed funding round led by Jamwant Ventures, with participation from Piper Serica, SINE-IIT Bombay, and other investors. The funding will be used to scale the company’s Integrated Rocket Facility, strengthen R&D in advanced propulsion systems, and expand testing capabilities to cater to the growing global demand for commercial space access.

Founded in 2023 by Manan Joshi, Kalyani Shinde, and Vinith Shenoy, Thrustworks Dynetics focuses on designing and developing liquid rocket engine systems and subsystems, along with proprietary software and test infrastructure. The company is developing ANYA, a liquid rocket engine platform, supported by a Mobile Rocket Engine Test Bed that enables rapid and flexible hot-fire testing.

Incubated at SINE-IIT Bombay, Thrustworks Dynetics aims to empower India’s propulsion technology sector by building modular, scalable, and high-performance engines, including Micro-combustors and High Thrust High Impulse (HTHI) engines. Its integrated facility will consolidate design, manufacturing, and testing under one roof, ensuring faster development cycles and operational efficiency.

The startup collaborates with prominent space and aerospace stakeholders including ISRO, IN-SPACe, Bharat Forge, Godrej Aerospace, and INOXCVA. By combining advanced R&D capabilities with flexible testing infrastructure, Thrustworks Dynetics is positioning itself as a key player in India’s commercial space ecosystem.

The global propulsion market is witnessing rapid growth, driven by the commercialization of space travel and satellite launches. With this funding, Thrustworks Dynetics is well-equipped to compete with international players like Ursa Major while accelerating India’s capabilities in next-generation rocket propulsion systems.
