ThirdAI Raises $3 Million To Scale Causal AI For Semiconductor Manufacturing

0

Deeptech startup ThirdAI has raised $3 million in a seed funding round co-led by Endiya Partners and Capria Ventures. The funding will support the company’s expansion across product development, engineering capabilities, and global market deployments.

Funding To Strengthen Product And Global Expansion

The fresh capital will be used to scale product development, expand engineering and go-to-market teams across India and international markets, and accelerate deployments with semiconductor equipment manufacturers and fabrication facilities.

Causal AI Platform For Semiconductor Root Cause Analysis

Founded in 2024 by Vivek Vishwakarma and Sainyam Galhotra, ThirdAI operates as an India–US-based company developing a causal AI-powered platform for root cause analysis and troubleshooting in semiconductor manufacturing environments. The startup works with semiconductor fabs and equipment manufacturers to improve production efficiency and reduce operational downtime.

ThirdAI’s platform automates root cause analysis, a process that is largely manual in semiconductor fabrication units and can take several hours to complete. The system uses causal AI to identify cause-and-effect relationships across equipment logs, sensor data, images, and operational records, enabling faster diagnosis and resolution of production issues.

Addressing Downtime And Yield Optimisation Challenges

The company claims that pilot and production deployments of its platform have demonstrated reductions in diagnostic time while improving analysis accuracy compared to traditional manual RCA methods. As semiconductor manufacturing becomes increasingly complex, AI-driven diagnostic platforms are gaining importance in improving yield optimisation and production reliability.

With the new funding, ThirdAI aims to strengthen its technology capabilities and expand its presence across global semiconductor manufacturing ecosystems.
