Shantanu Naidu has officially been appointed as the General Manager, Head – Strategic Initiatives at Tata Motors, marking a major milestone in his career. In an emotional LinkedIn post, Naidu shared his excitement, reflecting on his deep connection with Tata Motors:

I remember when my father used to walk home from the Tata Motors plant, in his white shirt and navy pants, and I would wait for him in the window. It comes full circle now.

Naidu, who was a close aide of Ratan Tata in his final years, has always been a trusted figure in the Tata Group. His promotion comes after a journey that began with his mentorship under Tata, culminating in this pivotal leadership role. Following Tata’s passing in October 2024, Naidu paid a moving tribute to him, saying:
