MapmyIndia Integrates Delhi Metro’s Real-Time Data into Mappls App

MapmyIndia has signed an agreement with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to integrate real-time metro information into its Mappls navigation app. The move will enable Mappls’ 3.5 crore users to access metro routes, train frequencies, fares, and station details directly within the platform.

With DMRC’s API integration, commuters will now be able to view optimised routes with estimated travel time and locate nearby metro stations and public services. The app will also allow users to report civic issues such as traffic congestion, accidents, illegal parking, and waterlogging, which will be shared with relevant authorities for prompt action.

This partnership aligns with the government’s broader digital mobility vision and comes shortly after Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced a similar collaboration between Mappls and Indian Railways. Founded in 1995, MapmyIndia provides geospatial technology and digital mapping solutions to nearly 10 government departments, including police forces, DIGIPIN systems and tax authorities.

MapmyIndia is also expanding strategically through acquisitions and partnerships. Earlier this year, it acquired a 9.37% stake in AI simulation startup SimDaaS Autonomy and partnered with KOGO AI to launch a universal voice assistant for automotive applications. In August, it invested INR 25 crore in quick-commerce startup Zepto to support last-mile delivery optimisation.

Financially, the company continues to grow steadily. In Q1 FY26, MapmyIndia’s net profit rose 28% year-on-year to INR 45.8 crore, while operating revenue increased 20% to INR 121.6 crore from INR 101.5 crore in Q1 FY25.

By integrating DMRC’s live metro data, MapmyIndia aims to enhance commuter convenience, promote public transport adoption, and strengthen its position in India’s smart mobility ecosystem.
