Indian Startup Achieves 3,900 Registrations at AI Impact Summit

Indian startup KRSN.AI has achieved a major early milestone by surpassing Facebook’s early 24-hour sign-up benchmark within just three hours during its pilot launch at the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi. The platform recorded 3,900 user registrations, significantly exceeding Facebook’s reported early milestone of approximately 1,200–1,500 users in its first day.

The achievement drew attention from industry leaders and innovators present at the summit, highlighting the potential of grassroots-driven, AI-enabled platforms emerging from India’s growing startup ecosystem.

AI-Powered Platform Focuses on Real-World Networking

KRSN.AI is building a global social networking platform designed to prioritise real-world connections over passive digital engagement. Unlike traditional social platforms focused on endless scrolling, KRSN.AI uses artificial intelligence to facilitate meaningful offline networking.

During the summit, the platform demonstrated its core functionality by analysing user registrations to understand professional backgrounds, industry interests, startup stages, and collaboration goals. Based on these inputs, the platform generated curated match suggestions, connecting founders with investors, students with mentors, and innovators with potential collaborators present at the same venue.

This AI-driven matchmaking approach helped transform traditional networking into structured, purposeful interactions grounded in human conversations.

Grassroots Outreach and Student Participation Drive Early Adoption

The platform’s early traction was driven largely by grassroots engagement, with students and volunteers distributing flyers and personally inviting summit attendees to join the platform. This human-centric outreach, combined with intelligent AI recommendations, created strong early momentum.

“This is proof that you do not need massive funding to make an impact; you need clarity of purpose and community support,” said Kartik Dhawan, Director of KRSN.AI. “An Indian startup, with students marketing the platform through simple flyers, has achieved in less than three hours what Facebook did in 24 hours in its early days. We are building a social network from India for the world, and our data will always stay on Indian servers.”

Data Sovereignty and Indian Infrastructure at the Core

KRSN.AI has emphasised data sovereignty as a core principle, confirming that all user data will be hosted exclusively on Indian servers. This approach is intended to enhance data security, regulatory compliance, and user trust.

The company has positioned itself as a technology-focused platform, aiming to enable authentic human connection while avoiding algorithm-driven engagement models that dominate traditional social media.

Founder Kartik Dhawan Leads India-First Social Platform Vision

KRSN.AI was founded by Kartik Dhawan, a 26-year-old entrepreneur from Jalandhar and a graduate of NIT Jalandhar. Dhawan left the University of Waterloo’s Computer Science program to pursue his engineering education in India, driven by his ambition to build globally competitive technology rooted in India.

The company plans to scale globally while maintaining its infrastructure and technological backbone in India. Following the summit, KRSN.AI has kept its pilot unit active, enabling continued collaboration among students, founders, and investors.

With a full-scale launch planned in the near future, KRSN.AI aims to position itself as a next-generation social networking platform focused on meaningful offline connection powered by AI.
