AI-powered recruitment platform HireBound has raised $2 million (approximately Rs 17 crore) in a seed funding round led by Kalaari Capital, with participation from Antler, Infinyte Club, and CareerNet. The Bengaluru-based startup plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen product development, expand go-to-market operations, and accelerate its global expansion strategy. The company is targeting a 5x increase in annual recurring revenue (ARR) over the next 12–18 months as demand rises for AI-led hiring automation.
Building agentic AI to automate end-to-end hiring workflows
Founded by Sharad Vij and Kumar Vikramaditya, HireBound is developing an AI-powered recruitment platform designed to automate the entire hiring lifecycle. Its agentic AI system manages candidate sourcing, engagement, screening, evaluation, and recommendation workflows, reducing reliance on manual recruitment processes. The platform integrates with existing ATS and HRMS systems, enabling staffing firms and enterprise HR teams to streamline talent acquisition while improving hiring speed and efficiency.
Strong early traction across enterprises and staffing firms
HireBound claims its platform has already powered over 3 million candidate conversations and has been trained on more than 2 million resumes and 30,000 job openings. This large dataset enables the system to improve candidate matching accuracy and automate recruiter workflows. Currently operating with a 15-member team, the startup is focused on strengthening its product capabilities and building scalable infrastructure to support enterprise adoption.
Global expansion and product scaling roadmap
Looking ahead, HireBound plans to expand into international markets over the next 12–24 months. The company aims to localise its platform to meet regional hiring practices, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards while scaling adoption across global enterprises.
