From Free Deliveries to Big Dreams: The Story of Foodo

0

In the small town of Bhandara, Maharashtra — far from the hustle of big startup hubs — three
friends saw a gap no one was fxing.
Why should local cafes pay high commissions? Why should customers pay ₹30–₹50 extra for
food delivery?

That’s how Foodo was born — a food delivery startup with a bold idea:
No commission. No delivery charge. Just good food, delivered freely.

A Startup Without Hidden Costs

Founded by Atharva Wankhede, Ayush Tayade, and Mrunal Naik, Foodo promised to never take a
single rupee in commission from restaurants, or delivery fees from customers.
In a world where platforms charge 20–30% per order, Foodo became a lifeline for local food
businesses, helping them grow without cutting into profts.
Built from the Ground Up
Starting in a Tier-3 city wasn’t easy. No logistics partners, limited tech access, and building
customer trust from scratch — the team faced it all.
But slowly, things changed.
Word spread. Cafes joined. Orders picked up. The town embraced this local solution with open
arms.

A Real Impact

For vendors, Foodo offered survival during tough times.
For customers, it brought affordability.
For the founders, it was about impact — not just numbers.

What’s Next?

Foodo is growing steadily — without rushing or cutting corners. The team believes in building a
solid foundation and staying true to their mission.
Because sometimes, the most meaningful startups don’t come from big cities.
They rise from small towns — with big dreams and bigger hearts.
