Wellness in Cities Is Becoming Preventive, Not Indulgent

For many urban Indians, wellness is no longer about occasional spa visits or short detox breaks. Fatigue, poor sleep, gut issues, and stress have become everyday problems, pushing demand toward structured, preventive care that fits into city life. This shift is giving rise to wellness formats that combine medical thinking, longevity science, and traditional practices, without requiring people to step away from their routines.

Funding Snapshot and Expansion Push

Mumbai-based wellness startup Dhun Wellness has raised $4 million (approximately ₹36.6 crore) in a funding round co-led by SRF Ltd and Havells India. The round also saw participation from angel investors including Abhishek Goyal, Arushi Aayush Agrawal, Ash Lilani, Sanjay Kapoor, and others.
The capital will be used to expand Dhun Wellness into Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, taking its city-centric wellness model beyond Mumbai.

What Dhun Wellness Is Really Building

Founded in 2023 by Mira Kapoor, Dhun Wellness positions itself as an urban sanctuary focused on healing, recovery, and longevity. Its offering blends Indian traditions like Ayurveda and sound healing with modern interventions such as cryotherapy and infrared saunas. At the core are personalised seven-day programmes that combine consultations, nutrition guidance, at-home plans, and a 24/7 concierge, designed to address root causes rather than surface symptoms.

Why This Funding Matters

With the global wellness market projected to reach $256.9 billion by 2033 and Dhun reporting 15 percent month-on-month demand growth, investor interest is shifting toward platforms that promise continuity, personalisation, and measurable outcomes. For Indian founders, Dhun’s raise highlights a clear trend: wellness is evolving into a long-term, preventive healthcare category, where trust, repeat engagement, and science-backed protocols matter more than luxury alone.
