Capital-A Leads Pre-Seed Round
Deep tech engineering startup Quintrans has raised $750,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Capital-A, with participation from Sumeet Kabra of RR Global, SanchiConnect, AIC-Pinnacle, existing partner IIMA Ventures, and other investors.
Funding to Power Manufacturing and R&D Expansion
According to the company, the proceeds will be used to set up an in-house manufacturing and advanced testing facility in Pune, accelerate research and development in electromagnetic actuation, and build the core engineering and operations team needed for commercial rollout.
Building India-Built Linear Motion Systems
Founded in 2021 by Pranay Luniya, Kartik Kulkarni, Aniruddha Atigre, and Prasanna Kadambi, Quintrans develops direct-drive electromagnetic linear motion systems for industrial automation, robotics, warehouse automation, and precision manufacturing.
The company’s technology enables frictionless, high-speed, and ultra-precise motion, positioning it as an alternative to conventional mechanical motion systems used across factories and automation-heavy environments.
Large and Growing Market Opportunity
According to market research, India manufactured and sold around 6.8 million actuators in FY22, a number expected to reach 10–11 million units by FY26. Growth is being driven by rising demand from automotive manufacturing, industrial automation, HVAC, and marine applications.
Engineering-First, Integrated Approach
Quintrans said its engineering-led design and manufacturing model allows for cost efficiency, customised deployments, and assured after-sales service. The startup develops hardware, control electronics, and system integration in-house, enabling customers to deploy a complete, integrated solution rather than sourcing components separately.
Backed by Hardware-Focused Accelerator
Quintrans is part of MaXcel, the hardware and industrial technology accelerator run by Capital-A and SanchiConnect, which supports startups building engineering-driven manufacturing and deeptech solutions.
Final Take
With domestic manufacturing, precision automation, and robotics gaining momentum in India, Quintrans is positioning itself as a Made-in-India deeptech player targeting a fast-expanding industrial automation market.
