Datoms Secures $2.77 Million To Scale Connected Operations Cloud

Bhubaneswar-based industrial deeptech IoT startup Datoms is raising $2.77 million (approximately Rs 25 crore) in a Series A funding round led by BIG Global Investments JSC, with participation from existing investors YourNest Innovative Products VC Fund and IvyCap Ventures.

Datoms has approved the issuance of 58,349 Series A compulsorily convertible preference shares and two equity shares at Rs 4,274 per share, according to regulatory filings. BIG Global Investments JSC will invest Rs 15 crore, followed by YourNest Innovative Products VC Fund with Rs 6 crore and IvyCap Ventures with Rs 4 crore. The round values the company at around Rs 110 crore post-money. Datoms had previously raised $1.2 million in October 2023.

The fresh capital will support product expansion, operational scaling, and business growth initiatives. Datoms is focusing on strengthening its industrial automation capabilities while expanding adoption across asset-heavy industries looking to digitise operations and improve productivity.

Financial Performance

Datoms reported operating revenue of Rs 5.57 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 3.09 crore in FY24. The company’s losses widened to Rs 5.82 crore from Rs 4.38 crore in the previous fiscal year, reflecting continued investments in technology development and market expansion.

As industries increasingly adopt IoT-led automation and predictive maintenance solutions, Datoms aims to position itself as a key digital infrastructure provider for connected industrial operations.
