Burmese speciality restaurant chain Burma Burma has raised over Rs 38 crore (approximately $4 million) in a private funding round, valuing the company at around Rs 500 crore ($53 million). The round saw participation from existing investor Negen Capital, along with new investors Endurance Capital and Coheron Wealth.
Expanding premium dining footprint across India
Founded in 2012, Burma Burma operates 21 outlets across major cities including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, and Chandigarh. The brand has carved a niche in the premium casual dining segment, offering a focused vegetarian Burmese cuisine experience.
Strong financial performance and profitability metrics
Burma Burma has reported annual recurring revenue exceeding Rs 200 crore, with revenue growing at a 50% CAGR over the last three years. In FY25, the company achieved 21% outlet-level profitability and an EBITDA margin of around 8%, while operating revenue increased to Rs 106 crore from Rs 72 crore in the previous fiscal year.
Capital to fuel expansion and market depth
The fresh capital will be used to expand into new cities and strengthen presence in existing markets. The company aims to scale in a calibrated manner while maintaining consistency in food quality and customer experience.

Co-founded by Chirag Chhajer and Ankit Gupta, who together hold 88% ownership, Burma Burma has built a differentiated brand around cuisine specialization and experience-led dining.
