Aurva, a next-generation security startup founded by former Meta engineers, has raised $2.2 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Nexus Venture Partners and DeVC, with participation from prominent angel investors in the security and AI ecosystem, including Chris Bream, former Security Executive at Meta.
Solving identity aware security gaps
Founded by Apurv Garg (CEO) and Krishna Bagadia (CTO), Aurva enables enterprises to monitor data access in real time with an identity-first approach. Its platform ensures that every access whether by a human, a service, or an AI agent—is tied back to a verified identity. This allows companies to detect misuse instantly, making compliance and security significantly stronger, especially for BFSI institutions operating under strict Infosec regulations.
Cutting-edge architecture
Aurva’s solution is powered by eBPF-based technology, which offers a lightweight, flexible deployment model across enterprise systems. Unlike traditional monitoring and control tools that often slow down operations, Aurva’s architecture delivers security at scale without compromising performance addressing one of the biggest bottlenecks in enterprise adoption.
Expanding global footprint
Headquartered in California, with operational hubs in Bengaluru and Mumbai, Aurva is positioning itself as a global security partner for enterprises. It enters a competitive landscape with players such as Immuta, Satori, and Veza, but aims to differentiate through its real-time, identity-centric approach.
Market outlook
The funding will be used to scale product development, deepen integrations with enterprise systems, and expand go-to-market teams in India and the US. As identity aware access monitoring becomes a necessity for data-driven enterprises, Aurva is set to play a key role in defining the future of secure and compliant data infrastructure.
