Seed Funding Led by Founders and Celebrity Investors

Analog watch startup Rotoris has raised $3 million (around ₹25 crore) in a seed funding round led by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and actor-investor Vivek Anand Oberoi. The round also saw participation from Venture Catalysts, 100 Unicorns, and Tanmay Bhat, along with more than 30 prominent startup founders and operators.

Notable angel investors include Varun Alagh (Mamaearth), Gaurav Khatri (Noise), Siddharth Dungarwal (Snitch), Nitin Jain (OfBusiness), Vishesh Khurana (Shiprocket), Chirag Taneja (GoKwik), Akash Gupta (Zypp) and Arjun Vaidya (Dr. Vaidya’s).

Use of Funds and Expansion Plans

Rotoris plans to deploy the capital to strengthen manufacturing and in-house assembly operations, upgrade engineering and quality-control processes, expand supply-chain partnerships, and build initial inventory. The company will also hire across product development, industrial design and brand-building functions.

As part of its offline strategy, Rotoris is set to open its first physical experience store in New Delhi, which will serve as both a retail outlet and a brand showcase.

Engineering-Led Approach to Analog Watches

Founded by Aakash Anand, Prerna Gupta, Anant Narula and Kunal Kapania, Rotoris is positioning itself as an engineering-first analog watch brand, with a focus on mechanical movements and precision-led assembly. Anand previously scaled fragrance brand Bella Vita Organic, bringing consumer-brand experience to the venture.

Product Roadmap and Market Entry

Rotoris is scheduled to launch commercially in January 2026 with five collections — Auriqua, Monarch, Astonia, Arvion and Manifesta. The watches will feature sapphire crystal glass, automatic and quartz movements, and 316L stainless steel cases. Each model will be limited and individually numbered, targeting consumers seeking craftsmanship-led alternatives to mass-market smartwatches.

Final Take

With strong backing from India’s founder-investor ecosystem, Rotoris is betting on a renewed interest in mechanical craftsmanship and premium analog design in an increasingly digital-first wearables market.
