Water wellness startup Care Dale has raised ₹1.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by AJVC, founded by Aviral Bhatnagar.

The fresh capital will be deployed towards strengthening research and development and accelerating the company’s go-to-market strategy as it looks to expand its presence across Indian households.

Addressing hard water problems in Indian homes

Founded by Duhita Wani and Roshni Kar, Care Dale is building technology-led solutions to tackle the adverse effects of hard water on skin and hair health. According to industry estimates cited by the company, nearly 70% of India receives hard water, which is a key contributor to issues such as hair fall, dry skin, and scalp damage.

Care Dale is focused on bathroom water filtration solutions designed specifically for this large and underserved consumer segment.

Product offering and early traction

The startup’s first product is a tap and shower filter powered by its proprietary CareTec Advanced Filtration technology, developed to improve water quality for daily hair and skincare routines.

Care Dale claims it has achieved close to ₹5 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) within five months of launch and has already reached more than 6,000 households across India. The company said its early growth has been driven largely by organic demand and word-of-mouth adoption.

Investor perspective

AJVC (A Junior VC) is a SEBI-registered pre-seed fund that backs early-stage startups across consumer technology, AI, fintech, and emerging categories. The fund has previously invested in startups such as HandyPanda, Multibagg AI, Nuyug, Mithila Foods, Jaagruk Bharat, TruFides AI, Chop Finance, Gaadi Mech, and Iztri.

Commenting on the investment, Care Dale said the backing will help it deepen product innovation while scaling distribution in urban and semi-urban markets where hard water exposure is most acute.

What’s next

With rising consumer awareness around water quality and personal wellness, Care Dale plans to expand its product portfolio and strengthen its brand presence in the home wellness category. The company aims to position itself as a go-to solution for water-related skin and hair concerns in India.
