CuePilot AI, a voice-first, AI-native platform for preschools and daycares, has raised $1.8 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Unilazer Ventures, backed by upGrad founder Ronnie Screwvala. The round also saw participation from Eximius Ventures and Titan Capital, marking strong early investor confidence in the startup’s vision.
Founded in 2023 by Adithya Narayanan and Ankur Agarwal, CuePilot AI is building a full stack preschool management system designed to significantly reduce administrative workload for teachers and school administrators. The platform leverages voice enabled artificial intelligence to capture short teacher debriefs and classroom context, converting them into structured academic records, progress reports, and operational data.
The startup plans to deploy the fresh capital to strengthen its AI and voice orchestration stack, roll out integrations in key global markets, and scale its go-to-market strategy across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. CuePilot also has plans to enter the US market, where higher average revenue per user and larger payment volumes present a significant growth opportunity.
CuePilot addresses a critical pain point in early education, where operational data is often scattered across WhatsApp messages, spreadsheets, and legacy systems, resulting in limited visibility and higher administrative burden. Its AI-native platform covers academics, attendance, health logs, billing, admissions, and parent communication, enabling teachers to spend more time engaging with children rather than managing paperwork.
Commenting on the funding, Ankur Agarwal, co-founder and CEO, said the platform aims to automate up to 80% of non-classroom work for preschool teachers. Agarwal previously founded Arthshala, a Reggio inspired preschool in Kolkata.
CuePilot currently serves over 130 schools across India and Southeast Asia and is targeting 1,000 schools globally within the next 12–18 months, positioning itself as a fast growing player in the AI-powered education technology space.
