Infibeam Avenues Ltd has announced a sweeping restructuring as it rebrands to AvenuesAI, marking its most significant strategic shift in years. The company is now fully pivoting to an AI-first payments and digital infrastructure model, consolidating its core businesses CCAvenue and Phronetic.ai under the new identity.
As part of this transformation, the fintech major is set to elevate Joint Managing Director Vishwas Patel to the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, subject to regulatory approvals. Current Chairman and MD Vishal Mehta will continue to drive long-term vision, innovation and strategic direction.
“With our transformation complete and the company entering a phase of accelerated AI-led growth, this is the right moment for Vishwas Patel to take charge,” Mehta said. Patel responded that he is “honoured by the board’s trust and excited to lead the next phase of growth.”
The rebrand comes after Infibeam sharpened its focus by divesting its ecommerce platform infrastructure business to its subsidiary Rediff.com India for ₹800.39 crore as part of a restructuring plan. Infibeam, which acquired a majority stake in Rediff last year, is integrating the platform unit into the RediffOne ecosystem, which includes email, content, and payment tools.
The company now aims to scale its AI-driven platforms across India and global markets, with a renewed emphasis on merchant value, faster execution, and deep technology integration.
AvenuesAI’s repositioning signals Infibeam’s ambition to become a leading AI-powered payments and infrastructure provider, aligning with the growing demand for intelligent, secure, and scalable digital commerce solutions.
