Eric Swider, director at Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), has announced plans to invest ₹1 lakh crore in Telangana over the next decade. The declaration came at the Telangana Rising Global Summit, where Day 1 investment commitments reached ₹2.43 lakh crore, highlighting the state’s rising global appeal.
Swider said the majority of this investment will support “Bharat Future City”, Telangana’s ambitious 765 sq km integrated urban development coming up near Meerkhanpet. He praised the state’s rapid economic growth, investor-friendly policies and the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, noting that Telangana offers the right environment for high-impact, long-term ventures.
Calling the commitment more than a financial move, Swider said the goal is to drive meaningful transformation through innovation, infrastructure and technology. “Investment decisions are not only about returns; they are about contributing to transformative growth, and Telangana enables that,” he said.
TMTG has already signed ₹41,000 crore worth of agreements to establish an international media and smart technology hub in the state. The hub is expected to generate thousands of jobs and strengthen Telangana’s position as a global centre for media and tech investment.
Swider added that the organisation will deploy additional capital across real estate, hospitality, infrastructure and advanced digital technologies within Bharat Future City.
Reflecting on TMTG’s journey, including taking Truth Social public, he said India has emerged as “the new centre of global technology capital.” He highlighted India’s deep talent pool and accelerating digital economy as key reasons for expanding long-term commitments.
Trump-branded developments already operate in Mumbai, Pune, Gurugram and Kolkata through licensing partners. The Telangana plan marks a shift toward large-scale, capital-intensive smart city and technology-driven projects.
