Moglix has appointed former Symphony Group CEO Amit Kumar as its Managing Director and Chief Business Officer.
Kumar joins Moglix’s central leadership team with the responsibility of building and scaling the company’s emerging business verticals and new growth opportunities. He brings more than two decades of experience across business leadership, enterprise transformation, management consulting, and industrial operations.
Prior to joining Moglix, Kumar served as Group CEO and Executive Director at Symphony for nearly five years, where he led the company’s overall profit and loss growth, supply chain restructuring, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
Before Symphony, he held senior leadership and advisory roles at KPMG India, EY, and PwC, working across sectors including automotive, FMCG, steel, chemicals, consumer durables, and diversified industrials.
At Moglix, Kumar is expected to focus on scaling new business segments as the company continues expanding its industrial commerce and deeptech capabilities.
This marks the second major leadership appointment for Moglix in 2026. Earlier this year, the company appointed Animesh Srivastava as Chief Technology Officer.
Founded in 2015 by Rahul Garg, Moglix operates a B2B platform for industrial and business supplies, offering products across categories such as electrical equipment, power tools, motors, safety gear, and medical supplies.
The company has raised nearly $440 million to date from global investors. In 2021, it secured $120 million in a Series E funding round co-led by Falcon Edge Capital and Harvard Management Company.
