Instant household services startup Pronto has raised an additional $20 million in its Series B round, extending the total round size to $45 million and doubling its valuation to $200 million within a month.
The latest investment comes from Lachy Groom, following an earlier $25 million tranche backed by investors including General Catalyst, Bain Capital Ventures, Glade Brook Capital Partners, and Epiq Capital. With this, Pronto has raised around $60 million to date.
Founded in 2025 by Anjali Sardana, Pronto connects households with trained and background verified professionals for services such as cleaning, laundry, utensil washing, cooking, car washing, and gardening.
The startup has witnessed rapid growth since the first close of its Series B. Daily bookings have increased to 26,000 from 18,000, translating to nearly 780,000 monthly bookings. Its professional workforce has scaled sharply from 1,440 in January to 6,500, with the platform currently operating at over 65% utilisation.
Pronto plans to use the fresh capital to deepen its presence in existing markets and expand service categories. It has already added offerings such as car washing, gardening, and home cooked meal services across select micro-markets, including Bengaluru.
The company is positioning itself within a broader trend of formalising informal labour through digital platforms, a space that is seeing increasing investor interest. Sardana noted that organising informal labour could become one of the defining shifts in the services economy over the next decade.
However, competition in the segment is intensifying. Urban Company reported that its InstaHelp service crossed 1 million bookings, while Snabbit also achieved a similar milestone and recently raised $56 million in a Series D round.
Combined funding in this category has surged, with Pronto and Snabbit together raising nearly $170 million since January 2025, underscoring strong investor conviction in the on-demand household services market.
