Banza Raises $1 Million Pre-Seed to Build Personal AI Twin

AI-driven data sharing startup Banza has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Campus Fund, with participation from Avalanche and a group of angel investors.

The company said the fresh capital will be deployed to accelerate product development, enhance user experience, and expand its team, as it builds the foundation for a new category it calls personal AI.

Building the “AI Twin”

Founded in January 2026 by Mehdi A and Aditya Vijayakumar, Banza is developing a concept it calls an AI Twin a personalised digital intelligence that learns continuously from a user’s behaviour.

The platform is designed to adapt to individual preferences, habits, and context, enabling users to make better everyday decisions, from what to watch and eat to how to plan purchases and experiences.

Solving the Data Fragmentation Problem

Banza’s core thesis is that current digital ecosystems capture fragmented user data across multiple platforms, leading to disconnected and often inefficient experiences.

Its solution aims to unify personal data streams, allowing users to build an AI layer that works in their favour offering deeper personalisation and more meaningful recommendations over time.

A Bet on Personal AI Infrastructure

The startup is positioning itself at the intersection of AI, data ownership, and consumer technology, where the next wave of innovation is expected to focus on hyper personalised digital experiences.

As the AI ecosystem evolves, Banza’s approach reflects a broader shift from generic AI tools to user-owned, context aware intelligence systems.
