Variety India, the world’s leading entertainment industry publication, has officially rolled out its India edition. The company had first announced plans for its India launch in the final quarter of 2025, marking a major expansion of its global footprint. To commemorate this event, the first cover features the who’s who of the Indian film industry – Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Salman Khan.
Sarita Tanwar, Editor-in-Chief of Variety India, shares her views on the occasion, “The launch of the first edition of Variety India is a very special occasion for all of us who track the trends and stories of the entertainment industry.” She further states, “The idea of bringing together these four stars was something that seemed impossible; that we have been able to make it happen is something that we are very proud of. We at Variety India are of the opinion that this launch will turn the script around on how India interacts with the film business and will provide insightful and authentic coverage on multiple platforms.”
Gautam Thakker, Group publisher of Thursday Tales Pvt. Ltd. Says,“The launch issue cover is something that we are very proud of. The fact that we have been able to bring together some of the most influential personalities in the Indian film industry is a feat that is not easily accomplished. This launch issue not only represents the power of Indian cinema but also the increasing presence of India on the global platform, not only in terms of storytelling but also in terms of talent, creativity, and vision.”
