India’s home services marketplace Urban Company has scaled its quick service housekeeping vertical InstaHelp to over 50,000 daily bookings, less than a year after its pilot launch in March 2025.
The milestone was disclosed by co-founder and CEO Abhiraj Singh Bhal, who noted that the company is building a high frequency services category aimed at deepening platform engagement and improving long term unit economics.
Rapid Scale in Under a Year
Initially launched as a pilot in Mumbai, InstaHelp has since expanded into select micro-markets across Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, and Pune. According to a stock exchange filing, the service recorded approximately 51,520 bookings on February 22, 2026.
At the current run rate, InstaHelp is expected to cross 1.5 million monthly bookings in the coming months. For comparison, Urban Company recorded 1.61 million total orders in the quarter ended December 2025.
The vertical offers on-demand housekeeping services including cleaning, dishwashing, laundry, and meal preparation positioning itself as a quick response alternative in the instant home services segment.
Financial Impact and Competitive Landscape
Urban Company reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹383 crore in Q3 FY26, reflecting a 32% year-on-year growth. During the quarter, InstaHelp scaled to ₹28 crore in net transaction value (NTV) and ₹6.8 crore in revenue.
However, the aggressive push into quick services weighed on profitability. The company posted a consolidated net loss of ₹21 crore and an adjusted EBITDA loss of ₹17 crore in Q3 FY26, largely attributed to investments in the InstaHelp vertical.
The instant home services segment is witnessing rising competition, similar to the quick commerce space, with emerging players such as Snabbit and Pronto also raising capital to expand operations.
Despite short-term losses, Urban Company’s management maintains that improving repeat usage and unit economics will strengthen long-term growth as the category matures.
