Technology enabled sports startup Gamepoint has raised ₹7 crore in a pre-Series A funding round, co-led by Raj P Narayanam, founder of Zaggle, and Aditya Vuchi, with participation from Praveen Raju and other angel investors.
The fresh capital will be used to expand Gamepoint’s multi-sport centre network and strengthen its technology stack and operational capabilities, the company said in a statement.
Building Neighbourhood Sports Infrastructure
Co-founded by Aditya Reddy and Siddharth Reddy, Hyderabad-based Gamepoint operates professionally managed, technology-enabled multi-sport centres designed to make sports access convenient for people across age groups.
The startup offers:
- Structured coaching programmes for children
- Membership and pay-and-play options for adults
- End-to-end sports event management solutions for corporates
All services are delivered in a safe, hygienic and professionally managed environment.
Multi-Sport, Asset-Light Expansion Model
Gamepoint’s centres feature international-standard courts and fields, specialised coaching modules, flexible membership plans, and on-site sports retail. The company follows a mix of owned and potentially franchised centres, aligned with its “neighbourhood sports centre” model.
Currently, Gamepoint operates centres across Hyderabad and Warangal, supporting sports such as badminton, basketball, pickleball, squash, football, cricket, table tennis and swimming.
Scale and Impact Vision
Over the next five years, Gamepoint plans to scale to 300+ centres across metro, Tier I and Tier II cities, with a long-term goal of enabling one crore Indians to actively participate in sports.
To date, the startup claims to have:
- Trained over 12,000 students
- Enabled more than 3 lakh people to play sports
- Organised 700+ sports events
Competitive Landscape
Gamepoint operates in a growing but competitive ecosystem and directly or indirectly competes with players such as Premier Badminton Coaching Academy, Machaxi, KheloMore, Huddl, and others.
Why It Matters
As India’s focus on grassroots sports development, fitness and organised recreation intensifies, startups like Gamepoint are emerging as critical infrastructure players. The fresh funding positions the company to scale its physical footprint while leveraging technology to standardise sports access across urban and semi-urban India.
