Pronto, India’s first 10-minute household help app, has raised $11 million in Series A funding, co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital, with participation from Bain Capital Ventures (BCV).

Founded in 2024 by Anjali Sardana, Pronto operates a real-time, shift-based home services model that connects households with trained, background-verified professionals for tasks such as cleaning, laundry, utensil washing, and basic meal preparation — all within 10 minutes of booking.

From Informal Networks to Reliable Urban Utility

Unlike traditional aggregator platforms, Pronto’s shift-based delivery system offers workers predictable incomes, benefits, and professional training, while giving customers guaranteed reliability. Sardana describes Pronto as “a new layer of urban infrastructure for household help”, built to address inefficiencies in an industry that has historically relied on unstructured, informal networks.

Investor Confidence in a New Category

Neeraj Arora, Managing Director at General Catalyst, called Pronto’s approach “a blueprint for formalizing domestic help in India’s urban centers”, while Glade Brook Capital’s Paul Hudson praised the execution as “exceptional” and BCV’s Ajay Agarwal highlighted its scalability in delivering high-frequency services while boosting worker earnings.

Expansion Plans

With fresh capital, Pronto plans to expand beyond Gurgaon into Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other metros within 12–18 months. The startup will set up hyperlocal micro-hubs, onboard 10,000 additional workers, and enhance real-time operations technology to maintain its sub-10-minute service promise.

As India’s cities become more time-strapped, Pronto is positioning itself as the go-to platform for instant, dependable household help — and potentially the foundation of a new, structured domestic services economy.
