HomeRun Raises ₹60 Cr in Series A to Scale Construction Quick Commerce

0

HomeRun, a quick commerce platform focused on construction and interior materials, has raised ₹60 crore (approximately $6.6 million) in a Series A funding round led by Sorin Investments. The investment firm contributed ₹40 crore, while the remaining capital was backed primarily by Titan Capital Winners Fund, along with Sparrow Capital, Consumer Collective by Atrium, and Helios Holdings.

The fundraise comes just three months after the Bengaluru-based startup secured ₹9 crore in a seed round co-led by Titan Capital and Sparrow Capital, highlighting strong investor confidence in the fast-growing construction supply-tech segment.

Capital to Drive Category and City Expansion

According to the company, the fresh capital will be deployed to expand product categories, strengthen sourcing and supply chain capabilities, and scale its dark store infrastructure. HomeRun also plans to invest in fulfilment technology and enter new cities, deepening its footprint in India’s fragmented construction materials market.

Founded in 2024 by Pukhraj Grewal, HomeRun operates an on-demand platform delivering construction and home-improvement materials within 60–90 minutes. Its product portfolio includes cement, plywood, electrical components, plumbing supplies, hardware, adhesives, and finishing materials.

The startup leverages a hyperlocal dark-store model to ensure rapid deliveries, positioning itself as a convenience-driven alternative to traditional construction material retailers.

Addressing Inefficiencies in Construction Procurement

HomeRun targets both homeowners and contractors, aiming to solve common challenges such as supply disruptions, price opacity, inconsistent inventory availability, and delays in procurement. By digitising sourcing and offering transparent pricing with assured delivery timelines, the platform seeks to streamline last-mile logistics in a traditionally offline dominated sector.

India’s construction and home improvement market remains highly unorganised, creating opportunities for tech-led aggregation and fulfilment models. With rising urbanisation, residential development, and renovation demand, quick commerce for building materials is emerging as a niche but scalable category.

HomeRun competes with traditional retailers as well as digital-first players such as IBO and Material Depot, which operate in the broader building materials and interior supply space.

With back-to-back funding rounds and a focused expansion strategy, HomeRun is positioning itself to capture a share of India’s rapidly evolving construction supply chain ecosystem.
