Eternal Capital Rebrands as Sadev Ventures: A New Chapter in Founder-Led Investing

0

In a bold move that signals its growing ambitions, Eternal Capital, the early-stage venture capital fund founded by former BharatPe COO Dhruv Dhanraj Bahl, has officially rebranded itself as Sadev Ventures.

The rebranding brings the fund’s identity in line with its long-standing family office name, while also showcasing its evolution from being viewed as just a “capital-only” investor to a true partner in building generational companies.

Why the Rebrand?

According to Bahl, the shift represents a deeper vision:

“As our vision goes deeper into India’s entrepreneurial fabric while simultaneously tapping financial, social and intellectual capital pools across borders, it’s the right time to scale under an identity that has resonated with all our longstanding stakeholders.”

Fund Details & Investments

Launched in mid-2024, the venture capital fund currently manages a corpus of ₹120 crore ($14M), with an option to raise an additional ₹120 crore.

So far, Sadev Ventures has deployed nearly half its capital across 20 high-growth startups, including:

  • Asaya
  • Cleevo
  • Cookd
  • Gladful
  • Hypergro
  • Bidso
  • Liquide

The fund follows a sector-agnostic strategy, typically investing ₹2 crore to ₹6 crore at the seed to pre-Series A stage. The focus: startups that have achieved product-market fit and are scaling towards profitable growth.

The Sadev Edge: Beyond Capital

Unlike traditional VCs, Sadev Ventures runs on an operator-led model—offering more than just funding. Founders gain:

  • Hands-on support from seasoned operators
  • Access to a global LP and strategic partner network
  • Mentorship from top industry leaders

Advisory Board & Backers

Sadev Ventures boasts a strong advisory board, including:

  • Suhail Sameer, Former CEO of BharatPe
  • Miten Sampat, President at CRED
  • Nikhil Bhandarkar, Founder of Panthera Peak

Its investors include marquee names such as Chris Bayley (CoverGenius), Vish Sowani (Visa), Deep Kalra (MakeMyTrip), Nalin Negi (BharatPe), Shaily Mehrotra (FixDerma) and Vikas Gupta (VLCC).

What’s Next?

With the rebrand, Sadev Ventures isn’t changing its portfolio, team or operations—it’s doubling down on its mission to back bold founders and help them build enduring companies.

This repositioning signals the fund’s long-term vision of shaping startups into India’s next-generation institutions, while creating lasting impact on both local and global markets.
