The Coca-Cola Company on Wednesday announced a major leadership reshuffle as part of a broader reorganisation under incoming global chief executive Henrique Braun, aimed at sharpening focus on high growth markets across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

As part of the changes, Sanket Ray, president of the India and Southwest Asia operating unit, has been given additional responsibilities. Effective March 31, Ray will also oversee operations across Greater China and Mongolia, as well as Japan and South Korea, significantly expanding his regional mandate.

Coca-Cola said it is creating two new market groupings that will report directly to Braun. The reorganisation is intended to improve execution speed, strengthen regional accountability and align leadership more closely with evolving consumer and market dynamics.

Under the new structure, Claudia Lorenzo will oversee Eurasia and the Middle East, ASEAN and South Pacific, and Africa markets, while also serving as president of the EME operating unit. She was previously chief of staff to chairman and CEO James Quincey and president of the ASEAN and South Pacific unit.

Meanwhile, Sedef Salingan Sahin, currently president of the Eurasia and Middle East operating unit, will take on a newly defined role reporting directly to Braun.

The company has also created a new Chief Digital Officer position, underscoring its push to deepen consumer insights and accelerate digital transformation globally.

“We are evolving our operating organisation structure and elevating digital leadership so we can move faster and work smarter across all markets,” Braun said in a statement.

Coca-Cola is scheduled to announce its December quarter and full-year results on February 10.
