Honasa Consumer CBO Yatish Bhargava Resigns Amid Growth Push

Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, has announced the resignation of its Chief Business Officer Yatish Bhargava, less than a year after his appointment to the role.

According to a stock exchange filing made on Friday, Bhargava has stepped down due to “personal circumstances” and will cease to be part of the company’s senior management from the close of business hours on May 15, 2026.

Bhargava had joined the Gurugram based company in June 2025 after the role remained vacant following the resignation of former CBO Zairus Master, who had also exited citing personal reasons.

At the time of his appointment, Honasa had designated Bhargava as both Chief Business Officer and Senior Management Personnel.

Before joining Honasa, Bhargava spent more than 17 years in leadership roles across consumer and retail businesses, handling profit and loss responsibilities as well as large scale operations spanning general trade, modern retail, and e-commerce. His previous stints included senior roles at Flipkart and Hindustan Unilever.

The leadership change comes at a time when Honasa continues to report steady growth across its portfolio of beauty and personal care brands.

Financially, the company posted a 16.2% year-on-year increase in operating revenue to ₹602 crore in Q3 FY26, compared to ₹518 crore in the same quarter last year. Its profit after tax nearly doubled to ₹50 crore, up from ₹26 crore a year earlier.

Honasa has also projected revenue growth in the late twenties percentage range for Q4 FY26, with flagship brand Mamaearth expected to grow in the teens. Meanwhile, newer brands including The Derma Co., Aqualogica, BBlunt, Dr. Sheth’s, Staze, and Lumineve are expected to grow at a faster pace in the mid-twenties range.

The resignation also highlights the continued churn in leadership positions across India’s fast-growing consumer startup ecosystem, where companies are balancing expansion, profitability, and brand diversification simultaneously.
