Wingreens has acquired pesticide-free food brand Safe Harvest through a share swap deal, while also closing a ₹120 crore ($12.6 million) Series D funding round led by investor Ashish Kacholia with participation from Alchemy Fund.
With the latest round, Wingreens’ total capital raised to date has reached approximately ₹556 crore.
The company’s previous major funding round came in November 2021, when it raised ₹124 crore from investors led by Investcorp.
The acquisition strengthens Wingreens’ push into the farm-to-consumer food ecosystem by bringing together brands such as Wingreens Farms, Raw Pressery, and Safe Harvest under a broader health-focused food platform.
Founded around sustainable agriculture and clean food products, Safe Harvest works with over 100,000 farmers, most of them women, through Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). The company focuses on pesticide-free products and sustainable rural livelihood creation.
Safe Harvest’s portfolio includes cereals, grains, pulses, millets, flours, spices, cold-pressed oils, natural sweeteners, and honey. The brand also claims to conduct 100% batch-wise pesticide testing and certification across its product range.
According to the company, the fresh capital will be used to expand product offerings, strengthen distribution, integrate supply chains, and invest further in innovation and farmer partnerships.
Wingreens said the combined platform aims to build a large-scale food and beverage ecosystem centred around health, transparency, sustainability, and inclusive growth.
The company’s broader portfolio now includes brands such as Wingreens Farms, Raw Pressery, Wingreens Harvest, Saucery, and Safe Harvest. Its product lineup spans sauces, dips, spreads, baked snacks, granola bars, oats, juices, protein beverages, almond milk, iced teas, and functional food products.
The acquisition reflects growing consolidation in India’s health and packaged food sector as consumer demand shifts toward clean-label, natural, and sustainably sourced products.
